Roofing built for Front Range weather
Northern Colorado sits in one of the most active hail corridors in the country. A single storm can take years off a roof that looked fine the week before, and most of the damage is invisible from the ground.
We repair and replace residential roofs across Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor and Timnath. Asphalt shingle, impact-resistant systems, metal, leak and flashing repairs, and full tear-offs after a storm. If yours was hit recently, start with storm restoration for the claim process.
We are not a storm-chasing crew that leaves before the warranty matters.
We are based here and build homes here year round. If a roof problem turns out to be a framing, gutter or ventilation problem, we can actually fix that too.

Roofing materials we install
There is no single best roof. It depends on your budget, how long you are staying, and what your insurer will do with it.
Asphalt shingles
The standard on most Northern Colorado homes. Straightforward to repair and the most cost-effective replacement.
Impact-resistant shingles
Class 4 rated to take hail without bruising. Many Colorado insurers discount your premium for them.
Metal roofing
Longest service life of anything we install, sheds snow well. Higher upfront cost, and it can dent in severe hail.
Low-slope and flat
Membrane systems for porch roofs and additions, which cannot be shingled and cause stubborn leaks.
Synthetic profiles
Composites that imitate slate or shake at a fraction of the weight.
Gutters and drainage
Hail takes gutters along with the roof. Replacing both keeps water off the foundation.
After a hailstorm
- Step one
Inspection
We get on the roof and document what is damaged, including gutters, vents and soft metals.
- Step two
You file
You contact your insurer with our documentation. Filing is always the homeowner's step.
- Step three
Adjuster
We can be on site when they inspect, so what we found is discussed while they are still up there.
- Step four
Repair
Once the scope is settled we schedule the work and handle it through final cleanup.
Colorado law requires you to pay your deductible on a roofing claim. Any contractor offering to absorb or waive it is asking you to take part in something you do not want to be part of.
Questions people ask first
How do I know if my roof has hail damage?
Most of it is not visible from the driveway, which is why so much goes unclaimed until a leak appears years later. From the ground, look for dents in gutters, downspouts, window wrapping, vents and any metal on the roof.
Check whether granules have washed into the gutters. That is shingle surface no longer protecting anything. On the roof itself, bruising shows as soft dark circles and is easy to confuse with normal wear.
Will insurance pay for my roof replacement?
It depends on your policy and the extent of the damage. Colorado policies typically cover sudden storm damage subject to your deductible. What they do not cover is age and ordinary wear, which is the usual reason an older roof gets denied.
Two things matter most: file inside the window your policy allows, and get proper documentation before the adjuster arrives. We provide the inspection and photos.
What does a roof replacement cost in Fort Collins?
Size and pitch, how many layers come off, the material, the condition of the decking, and how complex the roofline is. Steep roofs with valleys and dormers cost more than a simple gable of the same square footage.
If it is going through insurance, the practical number is usually your deductible plus any upgrades you choose beyond what the policy covers.
Should I choose asphalt shingles or metal?
Asphalt is right for most homes here. It costs less, matches the neighborhood, and repairs easily when one storm takes out a section. Metal is worth the premium if you plan to stay a long time, though it can dent in severe hail.
There is a third option most Colorado homeowners should price: Class 4 impact-resistant shingles. Many insurers discount premiums for them, which in a hail corridor can offset much of the upgrade. Ask your agent what your carrier does.
Can you repair my roof instead of replacing it?
Often, yes, and we will say so. A few missing shingles, a failed pipe boot or flashing pulled away from a chimney are repairs, not replacements.
Replacement becomes the honest answer when damage spans multiple slopes, the roof is near the end of its life anyway, or the decking has gotten wet. We will tell you which one you are looking at, including when you can wait.
How long does a roof replacement take?
Most asphalt replacements are a one to two day job once materials are on site. Larger or steeper roofs take longer, and metal takes longer than asphalt.
The longer part is usually before we start. After a major hailstorm the whole region files at once, and both adjusters and material supply back up.
How long do I have to file a hail claim in Colorado?
Your policy sets it and carriers differ. Check your policy or call your agent, and do not wait. Damage that goes unclaimed long enough starts getting classified as wear rather than storm damage, which is the most common denial on an older roof.
Do you still install metal roofs?
Yes. Metal remains an excellent choice for the right house and has the longest service life of anything we install. We just do not think it is automatically the right answer for every roof, which is why asphalt and impact-resistant shingles sit alongside it here.
Storm came through? Get it looked at.
Hail damage does not always leak right away, and claim windows close. Tell us your address and roughly when it hit.
